In 1966, the Marussi family opened this small, romantic restaurant as a classic pub serving typical Trieste dishes. Over the years and generations, the restaurant has become one of the best fish restaurants in the city.

Im Jahr 2018 übernahm Familie Leonardi das Al Bagatto und setzt die Tradition der Fischküche fort, jedoch mit besonderem Augenmerk auf Innovation und Raffinesse. Um das Angebot des Restaurants zu vervollständigen, gibt es eine Kühlvitrine für hauptsächlich lokale, friaulische und istrische Weine, die bis zur Decke reicht und 1.500 Flaschen fasst.

Zeitgenössisch und kreativ werden die saisonalen Speisen zubereitet. Um den Gästen Alternativen zu bieten, werden aber auch Fleisch- und vegetarische Gerichte serviert. Wir empfehlen Ihnen das bekannteste Gericht des Restaurants: hausgemachte Kürbisgnocchi mit rohen Langusten, knusprigem Speck, Schnittlauch, Wasabi und einer Kürbis-Velouté-Garnitur, oder Sie entscheiden sich, um einen Überblick über die Küche zu bekommen, für das Degustationsmenü, das mit einer Wein-, aber auch Bierverkostung kombiniert werden kann. Sie werden nicht enttäuscht sein!

Die Küche ist mit der Region und insbesondere mit dem Fisch verbunden.
