Although this historic bakery (150 years in operation) has new owners, it is one of the few "panifici" in Florence that still has its own oven (most bake outside the city). Let yourself be seduced by the aroma and flavour of the sweet pastries.

BÄCKEREINOSTALGIE

Unweit der Cappella Brancacci befindet sich diese wunderbare kleine Bäckerei, die ein bisschen an vergangene Zeiten erinnert. Das in die Jahre gekommene „Panificio“-Schild deutet bereits an, dass es hier um das Wesentliche geht. Morgens, pünktlich um 7.30 Uhr, öffnet S. Forno seine Tür und belohnt Früh­aufsteher mit selbstgebackenem Brot, Panini und verführerischem Gebäck.

Wenn Saison: unbedingt den typischen toskanischen Weintraubenkuchen Schiacciata di uva oder die Birnen- Frangipan-Torte probieren. Ein Genuss mit Seltenheitswert!
