Abseits der modischen Einkaufsstraßen befindet sich am berühmtesten Platz von Florenz, der Piazza della Signoria, das Gucci-Museum. In den Räumlichkeiten des historischen Palazzo della Mercanzia befindet sich, auf zwei Stockwerke verteilt, ein multisensorischer Ausstellungsraum, der die Geschichte und Philosophie dieses bedeutenden, 1921 von Guccio Gucci gegründeten florentinischen Modehauses erzählt.

Die Dauerausstellung des Gucci-Archivs nimmt Sie mit auf eine 100-jährige Reise, auf der Sie einige der Meilensteine des Hauses anhand von historischen Werbekampagnen, Handwerkskunst und Vintage-Objekten, die zu wahren Ikonen der Modegeschichte geworden sind, kennenlernen können. Tipp: Gucci Osteria da Massimo Bottura

Im Parterre des Museums befindet sich das Restaurant von Sternekoch Massimo Bottura. Die Küche ist von seinen Reisen um die Welt geprägt. Er integriert zum Beispiel Fleisch vom Chianina-Rind, für das Florenz und die Toskana so berühmt sind, mit japanischen, mexikanischen und peruanischen Ingredienzen.
