This traditional coffee house has been spoiling its guests with first-class sweet treats as a cultural and culinary institution since 1786.

Zuckerbäckerei auf kaiserlichem Niveau

1786 vom Zuckerbäcker Ludwig Dehne gegründet, 1857 an den Gehilfen Christoph Demel weitergegeben. Dieser begann die Kaiserfamilie – auch die trotz ihrer sehr schlanken Linie in Süßigkeiten vernarrte Kaiserin Sisi – genauso wie Adelige und Bürgerliche mit seinen süßen Kreationen zu verwöhnen. Noch heute werden die vielfältigen Süßwaren von Hand gegossen, geformt und verziert. Ein Blick in die kunstvoll gestalteten Schaufenster sagt hier mehr als tausend Worte.

Ob Demels Sachertorte, der Apfelstrudel, die berühmte Annatorte mit Pariser Creme und Nougat oder der Kaiserschmarren (auch als Take-away erhältlich) – die Wahl fällt schwer, aber Sie werden nicht enttäuscht sein.
