Ginjinha Sem Rival

R. das Portas de Santo Antão 7, 1150-264 Lisboa

Ginja is the name of the liqueur, but the locals affectionately call it Ginjinha, which means "little glass", as Ginja is traditionally served in a shot glass. Sour cherries, brandy, sugar and cinnamon form the basis of this cherry liqueur.

The guests of this charming bacaro spread out in front of the restaurant along the entire canal, on the bridge and on the opposite bank of the canal. There is no seating inside, just a few bar tables. Outside, you can look for a spot along the Rio di San Trovaso. The wine is therefore served in plastic cups - but that doesn't spoil the enjoyment!
